Web Del Sol, A Literary Arts Community
For a lover of literature-- it is not possible or does not seem to be to SKIP or lack knowledge of this MONSTERBOARD of "litmags" online and zines for electric and just loverly online poetry. Amongst the articles and essays of contemporaries from Madison Smartt Bell (who is published in chapbook style FREE POD (Print on Demand) and Rikki Ducornet (who is merely waiting for the right breakthrough novel-- I think this series of short stories from "Desire" her latest!!) to more are ALL here.
Yes, in this one place we find thousands of clickety clack poetical and literary names. And the game is...you decide the worthy from the dross...
Zoom around. If you have a week and you don't feel like going and buying a stack of books or... you are feeling adventurous and cashstrapped COME HERE. Repeat. Click and navigate and I promise there is a neverending link system to the very CORE of our contemporary literary scene offline as well as ON!
Besides, while Amazon offers the first 5 to more pages of some authors reads to "peek" that is not the same as the advertising all vetted authors do when they are "selfpublicizing" or learning by "beginning" in the trenches of magazines. This is not to mention those that publish from time to time to keep their academic positions who are brilliant and nonpareil but don't fit in with the current behemoths ideas of what GOES (say Random House in this moment at the Fin De Millenium as a for instance).
What's good here is people are often giving you their RAW MATERIAL.
Scenario: A small film company wants to work adapting a newcomer and working it out independently..not only is there already a paradigm for THIS EVENT of marrying literature to screen here but...you will find so many open to just such a deal who are equally disdainful of BAD MAINSTREAM...
Specific links will be coming down the pike but start please where you have a wide variety-- "Web Del Sol."
When you say uncle. I will provide a stately link to one powerful online breath of fresh air where you don't have to move your mind so much and often but for now.
Red Velvet Rope asks all you eclectic babes and mooks (by which we really mean AFICIANADOS and artists of all real varieties) to begin that contemporary lit journey by managing to get around this wonderful site here!!

Welcome to Desktop Theater
This is absolutely the CLOSEST *thing* to the dramatics we have been pursuing via plaasma box and offstage voice and blogging about at *redvelvet.* Afficianados...those that would like to collaborate and have the online skills, email me at plaasmabox@aol.com.
I have a paper article on them also from TDR (The Drama Review) which is a favourite read. Trust. If you are a real dramatis personae, or merely a dramaturgical demiurgical stand in for animated flash stages and vector scenes. Take a seat! In the New York City area, consider meeting me. We have lots to chat about if you are as hyped as me! Offstage Voice has so far done "click 4 drama" while learning to type words online (not even code YET) and then we were really doing things with Lycos Talk Radio where Nile Crocodial was a TJ (Talk Jockey) so recently! Those were the days...(reminscing about one year ago or so these days). Now, it's time to take classes in Digital Video or real web mastering. Decisions...Decisions...
I have an MA in creative writing but, I had a technical director walk away with ALL the careful shots and video and I still cannot locate the work in a format I can show to anyone so I am stuck with the work I created for video art class and of course my much more refined *writings.* But, the TD (Tech Director) has made me go back to school. The means of production MUST (hee hee) belong to ME! :P
